Manager Arsene Wenger Asked Arsenal Players to Play Fair Football

Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger has asked his boys to abide by the football rules and show enough respect to the opposition players. The French manager also added that leading clubs have the responsibility to make the games more attractive. Arsenal manager revealed his feelings about pure football after Arsenal striker Emmanuel Adebayor had voiced that Arsenal should do whatever it would take to win the premier league.

Wenger does not believe that a team should kill a player to win a game and he also thinks that a team can not win the league only playing dirty football. Indicating the history, he said that all the teams who won the league were technically better teams than others. That is why, he asked Gunners players to respect the officials and play the game within the rules in what, he believes, it would enhance the beauty of the game.

I also agree with Mr. Wenger in this regard. It is true that result of the match matters at the end of the day, but in the long run, people remember the team who played with art and beauty. That is why, we still remember Ferenc Puskas’s Hungary, Johan Cruijff’s Netherlands, even though they never won world cup.
